Moving Garland Forward

From the fairways of Firewheel Golf Park to the busy corridor of I-30, Garland is a city on the move. We bring the muscle and the local know-how, whether you're settling into a new build near the George Bush Turnpike or a historic craftsman downtown. And we don't drive in from across the metro — TL Moving is based right here in Garland, off North Jupiter Road.

Relocating to Garland?

Garland offers a diverse mix of lifestyles. Moving into a Spring Park home takes a different touch than working around the traffic near Firewheel Town Center, and we plan for both. Our team is built to handle the logistics of this large, busy suburb, so your belongings arrive safe and on time.

Garland Movers Who Are Actually From Garland

Most of the moving trucks rolling through Garland drove in from Dallas, Plano, or somewhere further out. We didn't. TL Moving works out of a shop on North Jupiter Road, so a move across town is a short trip for us, not an hour on I-635 before the first box gets lifted. Owner Tri La grew the company here, and it shows in the small stuff: we know which complexes near the George Bush Turnpike have loading-dock rules, and which downtown streets won't fit a 26-foot truck.

Garland doesn't move like one kind of place, because it isn't one. The two-story new builds around Firewheel come with staircases and HOA gate codes. The homes off Lake Ray Hubbard have long driveways and boat lifts to work around. The mid-century houses in Duck Creek and the craftsman homes near the historic square were built before sectionals existed, so we pad the corners and pull doors off the hinges when a couch won't clear. Different streets, different problems, same crew that's handled all of them.

Getting around matters too. Garland is boxed in by I-635, I-30, and the President George Bush Turnpike, with Broadway, Jupiter, and Miller Road carrying the day-to-day traffic. We plan the route and the timing so the truck isn't stuck on the 190 at 5pm with your bedroom set inside. On the bigger jobs, we start early and beat it.

Most of our Garland work is the everyday kind: families upsizing before the school year, first apartments near downtown, and empty-nesters trading a big house for something smaller and closer to the grandkids. Whatever the move, you get an upfront quote with no surprise fees. What we quote is what you pay.

Garland Moving FAQ

Yes. Our shop is on North Jupiter Road, so most Garland jobs are a short hop for us, not a cross-metro haul. It's part of why we can often fit in same-week and even same-day moves here.

All the time. The newer two-story builds near Firewheel and the waterfront homes off Ray Hubbard are some of our most common Garland moves. Stairs, gate codes, and long driveways are just part of the job.

Yes. The mid-century houses around Duck Creek and the craftsman homes near the square have tight doorways and narrow hallways. We pad the corners and take doors off the hinges when a piece won't clear.

It depends on home size, access, and how much you've packed. We give a free, upfront quote with no fuel surcharge or stair fee tacked on at the end. The number we say is the number you pay.

Hot tubs need specialized equipment to disconnect and haul safely. We've moved spas before, but for the disconnection we usually recommend a dedicated hot tub crew.
